While creating this academy, our focus was on what our students will become as a result of the A&E experience: people who feel right in their own skin and who believe in themselves so confidently that they can help others believe in themselves. Just thinking of this potential fulfillment in so many lives makes us happy.
We instill in our instructors the importance of treating people right before, during and after the class. And we work hard at creating a level of trust so that students enter our environment and know they are among friends. BASIC HAIRSTYLIST APPRENTICE: LICENSURE PROGRAM
Arts & Education Hairdressing Academy believes in helping our students learn how to fish. Instead of fishing for them. Suspend everything you know about haircutting and join us in becoming a technically sound master, as well as a visually prepared designer. Our instructors will take you from the basic fundamentals of hairdressing to the elements of design and becoming a true artist.The Journey
The focus of this curriculum track is twofold: the desire to serve the client while understanding and implementing the fundamentals of haircutting and hair design. The journey begins with the basics and then the doors open to a world of design —helping you create shapes that will serve your clients and help reflect who they are.The Path
This component consists of four essential areas of training to aid the student in becoming a skilled hair artist: The Basics (in-school courses), Fundamental Weekends (intensive technique classes), Open Studio Hours (hands-on practice and hours logging), and Out-of-School Apprenticeship (on-the-job training with a sponsoring salon).The Focus
We'll explore how the outcomes can make clients and others feel when looking at the shape that you've created. Arts & Education Hairdressing Academy takes hairdressing to another level by approaching basic haircutting concepts through the eyes of a sophisticated artist.The Goal
Upon completion of the Hairstylist Apprenticeship Program, you will be prepared to deliver salon-appropriate services and up-to-the-minute methods while meeting the required elements for the Colorado State Hairstylist Licensing Exam.The Hairstylist Apprenticeship Program is specifically designed for students who chose to focus their career on the art of hairdressing. This program will not only teach you theoretical principles of haircutting, coloring and styling in a classroom setting, but will also provide one-on-one, hands-on training in one of our many participating salons... all while earning a salary —so you can earn while you learn.
ADVANCED HAIRSTYLIST COURSES
A&E offers a specialized line-up of advanced certificate courses designed to keep you up-to-date and refreshed as an artist. These courses may be taken one-at-a-time to enhance your skills, as an elective during your apprenticeship or to help you in securing advanced level employment as a stylist.
